Microsoft and Kroger partner on 'connected store' pilot experience
Microsoft is teaming up with grocery chain Kroger to airplane pilot a new "continued store" feel at two stores in the U.S. Based on Microsoft's Azure cloud, the program involves using continued IoT sensors to streamline the shopping feel at Kroger stores in Monroe, Ohio and Redmond, Washington.
The goals of the program are twofold, Microsoft says: transforming the shopping experience for customers and boosting employee productivity with meliorate insights. For the old, the pilot stores volition utilise smart shelves that utilise digital displays to serve upwards everything from prices to nutritional and dietary information. Microsoft and Kroger will too employ Azure and AI to create a "unique guided shopping experience for customers" with Kroger'southward "Scan, Pocketbook, Go" program.
