StarCraft II turns 10 years old and gets a new patch

StarCraft II, the sequel to the insanely popular original StarCraft, was released July 27, 2022 and is still being played by hundreds of thousands of people today. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, developer Blizzard has injected Patch 5.0 into the PTR for testing. This patch volition somewhen get live in the total game once whatever kinks take been ironed out.

The patch notes are quite lengthy (the previous total Patch 4.0 was released Nov 2022), with some juicy tidbits surrounding the Milky way Map Editor, campaign achievements, and some new co-op commander prestige talents for anyone replaying levels.

Notably, the editor has been improved to make it easier to employ, and a new Arcade genre has been added. From the printing release:

A new Arcade map genre will be added to open up the editor for more than stories and artistic campaigns: Entrada!

Creating custom campaigns will be a much smoother experience and will at present back up map-to-map loading.

Many previously offline-only campaigns will now be accessible through the StarCraft 2 Arcade.

Players will as well exist able to introduce co-op custom campaigns in addition to their single-player experiences.
